In the afternoon, continuation to the different projects and have a time with the community members to share experiences.

later in the afternoon you can engage in the sports activities with the community members or have an evening walk around the villages if you are not interested in visiting the community market.

Evenings are more related with a camp fire as you sip on your favorite Ugandan cold beers and beverages before you go to bed.

Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Gorilla Experience

Our Gorilla Trekking activity is done at Bwindi Impenetrable Forest that lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Rift Valley. Its mist-covered hillsides are blanketed by one of Uganda’s oldest and most biologically diverse rainforests, which dates back over 25,000 years and contains almost 400 species of plants. More famously, this “impenetrable forest” also protects an estimated 320 mountain gorillas – roughly half of the world’s population, including several habituated groups, which can be tracked.
This biologically diverse region also provides shelter to a further 120 mammals, including several primate species such as baboons and chimpanzees, as well as elephants and antelopes. There are around 350 species of birds hosted in this forest, including 23 Albertine Rift endemics.

The neighboring towns of Buhoma and Nkuringo both have an impressive array of luxury lodges, rustic bandas and budget campsites, as well as restaurants, craft stalls and guiding services. Opportunities abound to discover the local Bakiga and Batwa Pygmy cultures through performances, workshops and village walks.

Our Driver will pick you from your Accommodation in Kampala/Entebbe at 7:00am for a 9 to 10 hours’ drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda. Along the way you will cross the Equator before stopping for lunch in Mbarara Town.

Only 8 people are allowed to track each Gorilla family in the forest under the guidance of a Ranger Guide. It is advisable that you book your travel as soon as you identify your travel dates on your calendar, since there is usually scarcity in Gorilla permits.
